Equine Ambulatory Veterinary Technician

Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center – Cave Creek, AZ | Full-Time | 4-Day Work Week

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Job description: Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a motivated and experienced Equine Ambulatory Veterinary Technician to join our mobile veterinary team. This position supports ambulatory veterinarians in providing high-quality equine care in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during farm and facility calls

• Safely handle and restrain horses for exams and procedures

• Assist with diagnostics, radiology, reproduction work, dentistry, and treatments

• Collect and process samples

• Maintain mobile unit equipment, inventory, and cleanliness

• Communicate with clients regarding patient care and follow-up

• Participate in rotating on-call emergency coverage

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary or horse handling experience required

• Strong horse handling skills

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions

• Strong communication and organizational skills
